Poor diet leads to chronic illness, including diabetes, stroke and heart disease. Dietary is one of the most effectiveness treatments for obesity and chronic illness. Some think of their adolescent period as a miserable war, while others think of it as another blimp in their lives. For me, it’s a combination of both. I personally did not hate my adolescents, as many good things happened during it, but it was also a very emotional time period. Regardless, it was a very memorable time in my life, that has had a big influence on who I am today. I started my adolescents around the time I was 11 (so fifth or sixth grade) and continued as one through high school. At the end of high school, and now, I am considered an emerging adult. For the sake of this essay I am going to mainly focus on my junior high years, touching a bit on myself as a freshman and sophomore in high school. This is a social interaction that I would not have gotten if I grew up in a different town. Because of my friendship with her, and many of my other Muslim friends from school, I don’t share the same fears as many other people in our country. I don’t believe that Muslims are terrorists. Another cultural experience that I had at a young age that allows me to think differently as an emerging adult is of black people. Many white people have an immediate reaction, even if it is internal or unconscious, when they see someone who is not the same race as them. Due to my middle school having a large black population, I do not have this reaction. I have friends at university who will not want to drive down the hill at night because of internalized and institutionalized fear of danger. To me, that is just like the neighborhood I grew up in, and therefore there is nothing to worry about. I am used to see â€Å"dangerous† looking people out and hearing rap music blasted while others are not. Accidentally seeing a drug deal while driving does not phase me. I have never had the reaction to walk on a different side of the road due to someone I saw and it saddens me that there are people out there who feel that way. Background of the study Over the period, music therapy is considered as one of the major service modality in association with special education. Research Design is a blueprint of the work involving the plan in detail with the data collection and the analysis. There are three types of research design; exploratory, explanatory and descriptive. The researcher here has chosen the exploratory design that will assist the researcher to understand the cause and the effect of the problems of the patients during the treatment of the autism patients. The grounded theory is the main construct of explaining the method of conducting this research as a whole where researcher will use the observations method to analyze the problems and development among the patients during the treatment. The researcher in this design gets the liberty to explain the nature of the research problem, the purpose of the research with the experience and knowled ge of the researcher. The research will follow the strategy of experiment of the patients in finding the problems among the autism patients treatment procedure. The following section will explain the research methodology adopted in the current context for conducting this research successfully. The comparative usage of music in treating the autism among the patients with other conventional treatment is the main objective in this research. There will be three specific sessions with the patients using the treatment with music with the conventional method along with it. Other three sessions will be only using the conventional methods of treatment so that the difference between the two methods can be observed. The conventional treatment method will be running during the application of music as the problems among the patients do not get severe which might go beyond the control of the practitioners. Six sessions are to be taken which will include three sessions with using music and other three sessions will be without the music that will be primarily designed to concentrate on the detailed objective of this study (Boudreau D'Entremont, 2010). The data will be collected using the approach of an observer while the tally marks and instruction of the regular classes that will be mad e for every response will be attained. The use of music tends to increment the awareness and also the attention of the participants which will possibly allow them to give more affirmative responses. The changes among the patients behavior after treating them with music will be the main objective in this research. The researcher will document the reactions from the patients and the deviations in their behavior periodically so that the improvement and adverse effect among the patients can be analyzed. The results might point towards the significance of the progression when the same music that will be used for some other students, the outcome is to be noted which should be compared to the traditional methods of teaching (Brown Jellison, 2012). 8. Data Collection and Data Analysis There are two types of data collection method, primary data, and secondary data. Primary data is collected through the surveys and questionnaires, and secondary data is collected through blogs, journals, treatment portals, etc. The purpose of this report is to do a study on quantitative basis with the use of data of both pre and post therapy, which will do a comparison that will evaluate the traditional strategies of teaching and the impacts of the music therapy for acquiring the interactive skills of the children having a prime analysis of autism. (Reichow, Steiner Volkmar, 2013) the research will be conducted in observation method where the information of the patients will be assessed by their changes among the gestures and postures mainly (qualitative). Therefore, researcher will try to collect the data of reactions seen among the patienst. To collect these type of information the researchers ability will be the sole responsibility as the qualitative information can be judged only by the skill of the researcher. Mentioned that the objectives of the social skills were sharing or turn taking, physical or verbal interactions, eye contact along with the other kinds of interactions like moving towards friend s or spontaneous speech. The objective of this study is to define whether the use of music having instructions has an increment in the reactions of the autistic children or not. 8.1. Research Description This study will include participants who will consist of five participants that mean children with autism. There will two children participants having the secondary analysis of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and also the ones who have been diagnosed with Apraxia. Research will be conducted with the specified sample due to analyze the specific problem related to the patients of autism where some other intervention also necessary for them. This will be a convenience analysis because all the participants are students in the classroom of the researcher and are also enrolled with a mild to the relative special class of the day. There has to be one female and four males in finding the importance of music therapy for the patients of autism as the gender specific research is necessary to find out any difference if possible for using music therapy bearing different gender for the patients (Reiersen Handen, 2011).The range of the ages should be six to eight years of age and m ust be ethnically different like one child has to be Caucasian, one African, one Filipino, one American, one Asian and one Hispanic different ethnicity must be observed to sort out the effect on the different ethnic and cultured people as well as what type of music has great impact over them. This approach will provide the researcher to find out the impact of different music and the outcome from the research will also show the door to treating different people with different culture in future. The researcher should know every student very well to give accurate results. The participants are to be deemed with the range of mild and moderate on the basis of autism spectrum according to the (Tomaino, 2013). All the five participants must have a diverse range on the scale of autism in which two of them must be the high range and the other two must be in low range (Warreyn Roeyers, 2013). The different degree of autism among the patients will allow the researcher to draw conclusion regar ding the effective rate of music at what extent on the patients during treating autism. 8.2. Sample Size and Data analysis techniques This study is a single subject study based on quantitative methods. The researcher should use the observations to accumulate the data in the tally marks from under the detailed categories. The research should comprise of baseline session for the conservative methods of teaching which should be followed by two other sessions other than a baseline session for music therapy which is to be tailed by other two sessions of music. The study must contain of a total of twenty-five minutes session of six slots having three sessions with music and the other three sessions without music comprising of five children participants it is observed from the past researchers that children cannot be retained for more than 30 minutes of a session due to their impatient nature of their small age as observed in past researches (Zelazny, 2001). The children are to be observed in the first session for the baseline of each goal for the traditional method of teaching. When the three traditional methods of teac hing is over it should be followed by the three sessions of music therapy (as mentioned in literature). Wheeler (2015) stated that again the first music session therapy of the first session should be used for the baseline. Before and also after the comparisons are documented and joined a mean score is to be determined for each child participants by the set of both pre and post information of the session to note down any change in the progression of the participants the observation of the change in body language will be assessed percentage of changes in any particular activity among the all will be quantified with the researchers own criteria using the Lickert scale. The researcher should collect the accurate data, and also an instructor should be present to moderate the process. Every child participant is to be given three opportunities to attain the goal. If they fail to achieve the goal the researcher should not document the tally marks (Wigram, 2000). 8.3. Materials of the study The materials are to be designed and developed by researcher herself to provide the lessons on music to the children and also hold a contract to give the services of music therapy to the students in the schools of the decided district. Recommendations are given to the students to take the music therapy from their teachers, and they will be evaluated by a certified and trained professional from Host Music Therapy. According to (Williams, Wheeler, Silove Hazell, 2011) the music therapist must come on a weekly basis to have the sessions with the participants and on other days they will be assisted by their teachers. Researcher will bring some sorted and developed materials for the patients as per the requirement of the clustered by culture whereas video music will be the main attraction (Young, Camic Tischler, 2015). However, the audio music will also be used as the instrument for making the patients audiometric as well as listening test of music during autism. Conclusion This study will examine the impacts of the music therapy as compared to the traditional methods of teaching, which mean without music based on the performance of the children with autism in reference to the focused skills in speech, sharing and turn taking and eye contact. The participants included five children with a specific analysis of autism who had the different range of communication in the skills of interaction and social skills. All the five students must attend this education class that is specially designed for them with the range of mild and reasonable disabilities. Every participant is to be observed pre intervention, post intervention and during the intervention throughout the sessions of music therapy (Reiersen Handen, 2011). Jefferson was not a dumb man, he knew he had to have a bigger support base. In order to do this, he followed a moderate course of action to win some Federalists over to the Republicans side. He wanted to reduce the national debt by reducing the army and navy. He hand picked only the most brilliant people for his cabinet. His cabinet included:1. Secretary of State: The architect of the constitution, JamesMadison and;2. Secretary of the Treasury: A financier from Pennsylvania,Swiss-born Albert Gallatin. Gallatin, following Jeffersons ideas, came up with a budget that made about seventy percent go to paying off the debt which meant that defense money was cut in half. He also came up with a new five year naturalization act. The Alien and Sedition Acts and the excise tax, which had started the Whiskey Rebellion, were repealed. The Bank and tariff were allowed to continue, though. While Jefferson was in office he was hassled by the Barbary pirates like every other country. He decided to do something about it. The Barbary pirates were asking for more and more presents, so Jefferson sent some warships to tell the pirates off. They got the message, but at a lower rate. The problem wasnt really solved until the French captured Algiers in 1830. Jefferson also saw the Mississippi was a very, very important river. He thought that he would have to deal with Spain, but Napoleon, from France, bought the Louisiana Territory for his own plans. When Jefferson heard about this, he sent Monroe and Livingston to just buy the area around the mouth of the Mississippi, but, when they got there, Napoleons plans for invading Haiti were foiled so he was willing to sell 3the WHOLE Louisiana area!! Monroe and Livingston snatched up the deal for $15 million before Napoleon could change his mind. They could only hope they were supported when they got back. Jefferson asked Congress to approve the money and showed the strength to go against everything hes preached and went for broad construction instead of his usual strict construction. Congress approved the money and, since they were already planning an expedition behind Spains back, they sent an expedition to go exploring. Meriwether Lewis and William Clark were chosen for this. They started ou t in 1804 with about 40 men and hired a guide and interpreter. They made it to the Pacific and then claimed the land. Pike was also exploring around this time. When Jefferson came to office he found some commissions for new judges which Adams had literally signed the night before he left office. Jefferson refused to give them out and a man named Mar bury, who was one of the appointees, took them to court. When the supreme court came back with its decision, it set a precedent that was followed ever since. The supreme court decided that the law that says that a govt official has to hand out the commissions was unconstitutional. Health workers can impact the way policies are made from the local government to the national government. The role of health workers is vital in sustaining and achieving progress in health sector. To fully understand how health workers can influence policy making, let us take a look on what happen in Tanzania: Cokelet (2009), detailed how a person became an advocate in decreasing the case of violence against women in Tanzania despite of the obstacles. The high rate of violence in this country is directly related to their culture which seems to view this practice as an acceptable issue. Kivulini of Women’s Rights Organization aimed in reducing gender-based violence by mobilising the community to change the norms and the policy in their society. Before starting her advocacy, she needed to have first an understanding about the obstacles addressing the issue of violence by consulting a study done by the World Health Organisation, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She used the result of the study to serves as a basis of collecting more specific and realistic information. They collect information from women about how well they know the available resources or the policies by the local government to help them with their situation. They found out that local leaders lack the kno wledge, training and resources to help those abused women. By the result of the study Kivulini developed a model of training and care and now advocating this model with the Prime Minister of Tanzania and local government officials. Kivulini started the advocacy in the community/local government and their model also affects the national level. Tanzania increased the funds for the training and increasing resources to tackle the issue of violence. After lunch, the entire class was to gather all of their belongings and walk down to the local library with our teacher leading the way. Of course being kids and out in the open we joked and wrestled each other most of the way trying fruitlessly to stay clear of the teacher’s stern gaze. After a short 20 minute walk, we walked into the library, a small, brown and brick, single level building tucked away on a street corner surrounded by lots of trees. We were greeted by a gentle looking, elderly librarian. She ushered us all inside and led us to a quiet corner where we had to be seated on low, colorful benches and chairs designed for younger kids. Although we had to go down to our school library many times, it was the first time that I was actually sitting inside this one. It was serenely quiet with only a few other people scattered about here and there browsing through the shelves. Beautiful tall, green plants graced practically every corner, giving the library a more earthy and natural feel. The building itself was quite unimpressive but there was just something about that library that really struck me and pulled me inside. To this day I can’t pinpoint the exact thing. I guess it was a combination of many subtleties; the soft hum of the photocopy machine, the swish of the plants as stragglers brushed against them, the smell of old and new books mingled together on the tall, wooden shelves, and the yielding softness of the carpet beneath my dirty sneakers. The place held me down and rendered my brain quiet and peaceful. The librar ian after having seated our class, stood tall and graceful next to our teacher who was sitting awkwardly in the front on a small stool in hopes of keeping an eye on all of us. She proceeded to explain the basics of library conduct and the process of applying for a library card. We were all given small forms and instructed on how to fill them out properly. Pencils scratched the rough, wooden tables as we excitedly filled in our names and perfectly memorized phone numbers and addresses. It was the first time for all of us to be receiving our library cards. I felt strangely grown up being in possession of a small, laminated card with my name scribbled across its front. I pocketed it right away afraid to get any pencil marks on it already. The librarian along with our teacher started giving us a tour of the library. It was small but cozy with the check out desk dividing it right down the middle, separating the adult and the young kids' section. We were mostly led around our own section, with the librarian pointing every so often at a set of encyclopedia volumes, the new arrivals, or the newspaper collection.  Ã‚

Rhetorical Analysis on Jfks Speech Essay On august 28, 1963, a civil right activist Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his most famous speech called â€Å"I Have a Dream† during the march on Washington. In his speech, Dr. King used many literary elements in order to enhance his speech. He included allusion, metaphors, personification and tropes such as anaphora, alliteration and rhetoric question. Dr. Martin Luther King began his speech with a personifications and metaphors. The first personification he used to describe what it was like to live as an African American during the 1900’s. He stated â€Å"One hundred years later the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination,† which means the African American (Negro) were handcuffed by the segregation and no matter what they do or how smart they are, they will never be able to escape segregation and they are chained by the discrimination. This discrimination won’t let them do what they are capable of doing. The metaphor is used in the speech to compare the African Race to a bad check, â€Å"insufficient fund.† When the slavery ended in America, the African American hoped to cash the check of freedom, when the magnificent words flow from the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, but instead to honoring the words, American gave the African the â€Å"bad check† which eventually come back as insufficient fund. As the speech goes on, he used a paradox to show the contradiction. This quote, â€Å"I have dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed:’ we hold these truths to be elf-evident: that all men are created equal,’† is a perfect example of paradox because in the constitution, its states that all men are created equal and even though the constitution is consider to be the supreme law of the land, people chose to ignore it. He used anaphora to emphasize that he dreams about, to live in American without the segregation and the hostile feeling between the White and the African American. The use of rhetoric question, help readers and listeners to think of their own answer. In the speech, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his own Rhetoric question and his answer to the question. â€Å"When will you be satisfied?† he asked, and he answered â€Å"we can never be satisfied as long as the Negro is the victim of the unspeakable horrors of police brutality,† he would never be satisfied until the African American  and White hold hands and recite the National Anthem. Antigone: The True Tragic Hero Antigone, is the drama written by Sohpocles. There is still a great debate on who is the true tragic hero in Sophocles' Antigone, Creon or Antigone. Many people believes that it must be Antigone, herself. This is because Antigone is an outstanding example of someone who did what she thought was right, while she was among fools, many hardships, and people who were discouragingly uncourageous. When the king Creon ordered that the body of Polyneices, Antigone's brother, be left to rot unburied because he had died as a traitor, she tried to buried him even she knew that she would be punished. She believed that a dead person's soul could not rest if that person's body was not buried so she chooses to challenge a powerful Creon, the king of Thebes in order to let her brother rest peacefully. This presents a huge problem for Antigone; she feels she must obey the laws of the gods and bury her brother, but the penalty would be earthly death. To me, Antigone is a hero, what she did for her bro ther was very respectful, not many could have the strength to do so in the same situation. However, I believe the true tragic hero in Sophocles' Antigone is Creon, not Antigone. Creon, as king of Thebes, is at the top of the social ladder. Yet, not only is he king, he is also human and possesses frailties, which qualify him to make serious mistakes, and he possesses talents, which allow him also to excel. Hence, Creon is neither overly good nor bad. Appropriately, Creon's station as king place shim in a position of great power, influence and responsibility. The extent of this power was quite evident when he sentenced Antigone to death for disobeying his proclamation. Creon's tragic flaw was his hubris or his pride and arrogance in the face of divine powers. His downfall began when he denied the basic divine right of burial to Polyneices and was cemented when he condemned Antigone for her opposition to his law. When one closely examines Antigone's reasons for burying her brother, it becomes clear that she was simply demonstrating her love, honor, and loyalty to her family. However, the reason that Creon is angered is that he feels injured and insulted that Antigone flagrantly and publicly disobeyed him.

It is a formal and prolonged process. It is also a development of character or mental powers which decides the future of an individual. Why do we need education? With the advancement of science and technology, the world scenario and the environment have changed. In order to fit and survive with the changing world, one has to educate himself. One cannot survive with the traditional systems and cultures whenits surroundings are already in the stage of computerization i.e., advanced technology. We have to catch and absorbed ourself with the changing technologies. Education for what? The human development report of 1993 turned the economic growth of the developed countries as â€Å"jobless growth† with adverse consequences. While we pride ourselves as processing a large stock of high quality manpower, the critical index of development will be the number of job created in relation to the population. Both extensive job creation and urgent population and social harmony. Considering the limited scope for extensive job creation in the government job only is likely to end in frustration. NGO’s & Self supporting enterprise:- the Government of india has recently developed a policy to encourage youth in the development works through Non-government organizations or throught self supporting schemes. There are several projects under the government of india which could be taken up by educated unemployed youth for the development of specifies areas. For implementing such project, one needs quality educated youth. Education should be taken as the only means to secure Government job. (the wise man/educated man should build his house upon the solid rocks). Economics of Education:- it is painful to see some youth who have considered himself educated but could not compete others and could not do anything good for himself and his supporting parents. He spent all hi youth days in school/colleges at the expense of his parents. It is not only the wastage of time & money but the total productivity & ecnomy of his families were also adversely effected. The hope and aspiration of the parents also shattered as he could not acquired the desire quality of education to compete the every growing competitions. This the reason why we are at this day in which we should not. Considering the changing scenario of competitiveness in education, it is my personal opinion that every individual and parents should study the capacity & capabilities of the child before the subject of his education is decided. Washing time and money in education without been able to reach the desired level of quality education is the main reason for our economic backwardness. My Past, Present, and Future

Hard life does not equal reason for failure, but reason for determination. Even though it may seem with so much bad you are bound to fail, with all of my bad I'm bound to succeed. I have been through a lot in life, just as every single mother but I still have what it takes for my future success. Do you have what it takes for a brighter future? The first reason I believe hard times give you determination, is because I had a hard childhood growing up. Beginning with my father abusing my mother and he was never around, a mother who was struggling to figure out who she was and what she wanted in life, and how to take care of a teenager with so many bad experiences. My father was murdered in front of me and passed in my arms when I was seven years old. My only father figures I had left were my brothers who for their own reasons couldn’t be around much. I turned to alcohol at a young age thinking it would make my life better. I felt as if I was alone. I didn’t know I had people that would be there for me. All I knew was my immediate family and my friends, which were not good influences. My mother had turned to alcohol as well and I was always home alone or with my uncle John. I never wanted to go to school; however, my uncle encouraged me to do so. I continued to attend school and did the best I thought I could. I got into skating thanks to my uncle and that is how I got rid of my stress if I had it. Uncle John always took me and my friends to the skating rink to enjoy time, just as a young child should. It made things better for me for awhile I had my father figure back again, but still needed my mom. I was lost and had no guidance; so much had happened to me at such a young age and that affected my life because I believe no matter what happens you can’t erase your bad memories. My beliefs are stated by Sigmund Freud, he said â€Å"The world as we know it is stored in our conscious mind† (Witt & Mossler, 2010, Ch. 2, Pg. 2). Additionally, at age fifteen I was involved in a car accident that everyone including myself thought it ended my life. I was pronounced dead on scene yet revived. I was hospitalized for over a week and had to go though therapy to learn how to walk again. My brain wasn’t coordinating with my legs. I broke five ribs, my lung collapsed, crushed my heel, burned my back, my scalp was avulsed, broken nose, and in general shaken up. I woke up to a paramedic by my side coaching me through my breathing and having faith in my ability to overcome anything. It just so happened with me living in a small town that paramedic was my best friend’s father, Gene Deck. That’s when I got my mom back, and to this day she is always there for me and is my best friend. During that time I had also lost my brother who meant the world to me. He was my role model and was everything to me. I would wait for him every day on the porch to arrive from work. He had been though a lot himself and had went to prison for a few years. He got out of prison and started his life over working in the oil fields, I still remember his smell. It was that time of year for our family reunion, we went camping every year. I remember waking up to his face at five in the morning and him asking me to go on the boat with him to check the trout lines, me at my age was upset about being woke up that early. I pulled the blankets over my head and said â€Å"go away and leave me alone bubba†. Those were my last words to him, which is why I strongly believe you should make sure your words to your loved ones are that from the heart. He had gone out on the boat and it had a hole in it, my brother didn’t know how to swim. They found him late that night after searching all day at the bottom of the river tangled in seaweed. With all those experiences, I knew what I wanted to do as an adult, save lives. So I took it upon myself to try and get my life together and do what was right. I had several inspirations for saving lives, from my life being saved to maybe I could have saved my brothers. I had so much encouragement in my heart now to move forward with my career choice in the future. For now, it was time to focus on finishing high school and being a good daughter so that my mom wouldn’t have to go through anymore pain. I focused on school and promised myself no matter what happened in life I would return the favor given to me from the man upstairs, with a second chance given to me I would help saving lives. It is thanks to God that I am alive today, and for the rest of my life I will thank him every day. I may not be one of those people who go to church every day, but I do know my life is held in the hands of a man that I owe my life to. At age seventeen I ended up being getting in another relationship that I thought would last forever and we decided to have a child. I ended up having too many medical problems and had to drop out of school. I was determined to keep my promise. I set out to get my G. E. D and started running with the Emergency Medical Service in my town as a rider. I then became part of the EMS family as a driver. They paid to put me through school to become an Emergency Medical Technician. I decided that wasn’t enough and started school with a technical school to become a National Registered Certified Medical Assistant. My first born son gave me more inspiration to better myself in life. He was the reason of my existence and the reason I to this day work very hard at everything I do to succeed in life. I named him after my brother that had passed, Keith. I now have four beautiful boys, still have my two certifications, and now attending college working towards a degree. Every day I remember lucky I am to be here and how much I have to be thankful for in life. My fiance Sean is another one of my inspirations. He stays on my case constantly about school and making sure I do what is right. I have everything I need in life to be inspired and achieve my life term goals. I believe that you need three things in life to achieve your goals, a belief system, persistence, and patience. Several things can happen to you in life. It’s a matter of how you overcome what has happened and how you move forward. Although, you may want to just give up and feel you have been through enough in life and you don’t want to put yourself through any more. You need to reconsider, because that is just your way of â€Å"justifying your thoughts or behavior†, called rationalization which is a type of defense mechanism from Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory (Witt & Mossler, 2010, Ch. 2, Pg. 2). Make sure you stay focused on your goal or goals and what lies ahead of you. Always look toward the future and never look back, you will always remember but let it be a lesson learned in life, and the strength you need to move forward. There is nothing better in life than looking back on all you have been through, and then looking at what you have to this day. The best thing is looking at what lies ahead of you and your future of success! Indeed, while some may say a bad past can get the best of you, it’s important to stay focused and determined. I will continue to move forward with my education and become successful. Just remember one thing; you are in control of your life, your attitude, and your actions. You can’t change your past, but, you can change your future!
